History

EWAB has been the pioneer in chain based conveying technology.

Four major EWAB inventions are true milestones in the development of flow technology; the EWAB Chain in 1970, the Serpentine (a.k.a. Alpine) in 1970, the Palletised Conveyor in 1976 and the Highway/ Satellite concept 1983.

These inventions and especially the palletised conveyor (one piece flow) and the Highway/Satellite concept (multiple one-piece-flows) was developed for the need of productivity, throughput and lean manufacturing and are today the hart of conveying automation for lean manufacturing
