System Engineering
Pallet/Carrier design
The pallet/carrier design is extremely important as it represents the common 3 dimensional mechanical interface to every operation in a system. Its design must allow for all present and future versions of the parts, safe handling, safe transportation, fool proofing design features, easy washing and it must be adapted to all forms of grippers and external handling devices.

Often it also has to accommodate for various types of route coding or data storage. The requirements on the pallet/carrier often determine which system to use - not the other way around
System layout
Layout development is in itself relatively easy as there is an EWAB system for almost any type of requirement. As all systems are based on the same type of modularity, they can be made to easily accommodate any type of layout and any type of environment without any special engineering.

The user friendly modularity of EWAB systems is often used to solve other co-suppliers problems rather that being a necessity for the production flow. Our layout modularity is the base for Lean and affordable automation.
Interfacing to machinery, robots and other equipment
EWAB have since the 1970's been interfacing with practically every machine, robot or equipment manufacturer. We have several hundred defined and proven interfaces with these suppliers. Mechanical as well as electrical and emergency functions.
Operator interface
Our principle for operator interfaces is that it must be simple and safe. Where ever possible we use straight forward push button solutions and for more advanced tasks such as initiating a travel route for certain parts there are interactive operator panels.
