EWAB workpiece carriers

What is the size, shape and weight?

When designing your carrier (pallet) and the fixture. The size, shape and weight of the workpiece is the main characteristics taken into consideration. The workpieces will be transported through different operations and needs to be safely placed on the customized fixture.

EWAB PS800

Small

For smaller parts we have different workpiece carriers that are transported on the EWAB system. Our PS800 and PS 810 are very popular for manufacturing in the automotive industry.

Production volumes can be up to 50 000 per week and Takt times are usually fairly short down to 6 seconds.

Medium

Another popular size is our CS200 that has a compact design, and plastic rollers that run directly on the aluminium profile.

Takt-times are usually in the range of 10-15 sec and up to minutes.

Large

Can handle large parts up to 400kg.
In order to distribute weight we use steel rollers on the side track for our CS900 carriers.

Takt-times are in usually in the range of 10-15 sec and up to minutes.

Size and Weight

In the end, the size, shape and weight of the workpiece is mostly important from an ergonomically point of view.

If there are manual operations taken place they need to be conducted in a safe and ergonomic manner, without impacting the performance of the flow and throughput of parts.
